Bronze Day 2
Another great day for the HAST swimmers! More best times were made by almost every swimmer again, some just missing 'silver' cut times.
Emily Ennis hit her third silver time of the weekend today in the 100 free. WAY TO GO EMILY!!!
I will post all of the meet results outside of the pool later this week. The new IMX meets are
awarded differently now. The kids still score points for the team by place, but are only awarded ribbons for best times. No 1st-12th ribbons are awarded. If the swimmer competes in all of the IMX events, they qualify for a (gold, silver , or bronze) bag tag, based on their percentage of dropped time. Our clubs improvement standings (dropped time) from the Bronze meet, will be posted on the Niagara site in a day or two.
After gold championships in March, the Niagara District will calculate all of the IMX swims from all of the IMX District Meets. The team with the highest most improvement points will be awarded a custom 'IMX Team Champion' banner from the Niagara District. This banner will travel yearly with the team champion with their 'champion achievement' added to the banner.
The next IMX District meet is the silver meet in Webster on Dec. 1st-3rd. Coach Snow and I will be inviting all 'silver cut' time swimmers this week. This meet is run in Championship format with pre-lims in the morning and finals in the evening. The meet will be run 10 lanes for both prelims and finals. Your silver swimmer can choose one bonus event for every silver event they have. This is a great way to make a cut in an event they are close in.
see you at the pool,
Coach John
