HAST Coffee Fundraiser
Here is a list of David’s Gourmet coffee flavors and descriptions: http://www.hiltonswimteam.org/coffee_fundraiser.pdf. The coffee brand is the same as last year, Boston’s Best Coffee. The cost is $1.00 for a 2.5 oz foil bag. This is ½ oz larger than last year. HAST will make 40 cents on each bag sold. (Last year in one week, with only 10 participants, we made a $247 profit!!!!!)
As with all fundraising, please take orders in a safe manner and don’t encourage your swimmer to go “door to door”. Each coffee flavor has been assigned a number 1-18. On the back of the item sheet is an order form with each flavor represented by that number. Please total each individual order and collect payment.
Order sheets and payment are due Friday, October 27th to insure delivery for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. Add up your individual orders and include a single check made out to HAST for the total amount. Tammy Engle, Kim Burns, or Denise LaJuett will take your order forms/payments (Brianne is playing a school sport, so I am not around right now).
My contact information is Diane Sundquist disund@rochester.rr.com or (585) 392-6150. Thanks in advance for your support of this fundraiser!!!

Meet formats and schedules
Welcome everyone to the beginning of the H.A.S.T 2006/2007 swim season.
I have highlighted the attached calendar with all of the meets that we will be competing in. If there was one not picked that you would like to attend, please let me know.
Team Meets are in Teal Invitationals are in yellow
We have a lot of new swimmers so I want to take a minute and explain the differences between the meets.
Dual and Senior Meets are only open to clubs like ours that are in the M.C.D.R. (McDonalds league of Rochester).
Dual meets are for ages 12@U. Your swimmer is required to do 2 of the 4 scheduled meets to swim in Championships on March 3-4th. Each swimmer is allowed 2 individual events and 2 relays. All events are chosen by the coaches.
Senior meets are for age 13@O. Your swimmer is required to do 2 of the 4 scheduled or 1 meet and volunteer at 1 dual meet. There are two formats (attached) used for senior meets. Each swimmer is allowed 3 events, no relays. All events are chosen by the coaches.
District meets are open to all of the teams in the Niagara District. They have designated cut times for each event. Your swimmer must have the cut time or faster in order to compete. Ex. gold/silver cut times.
At the District meeting on 10/01/06, it was announced that the gold and silver times were going to be made faster, or harder to achieve. This will be a gradual change over the next three years. They are trying to come more in line with USA swimming motivational times. Moving silver closer to ‘BB’ times and gold closer to ‘A’ times. Invitationals are open to all teams. Most are designated G/S/B, meaning they are open to all ‘times’.
We will let you know when the entries are due for all the meets, and how to enter. All of the District meets and Invitationals can be viewed on the district web site niagaraswim.org
If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact me.
Thank you,- Coach John
