Hilton Area Swim Team (HAST)

Hi everyone.

The versatile 'swimmer' and'go the distance' forms are due by May 2nd. I'd like to hand them in this Saturday the 28th., at the district H.O.D meeting.

You can find the forms on the distrist web site under 'forms'. Remember that there are two award levels on each sheet. One award for swimming the the required events, and a second award for swimming it again with an improved time. I'm sure that we have a lot of swimmers that qualify for one or both. Please fill them out and then put them in my file at the pool. I need to sign them before I can turn them in.

Our spring session has begun, for all of our swimmers participating in this session the cost is $100. Please write your check made payable to HAST and place them in the Avery folder by MONDAY APRIL 23rd. Swimmers not paid by this date will not be eligible to swim. See you all at the banquet.

We have a tremendous response to the Banquet for Sunday April 22nd at 2PM.... We have over 150 people who plan on attending. For all who are bringing a dish to pass please remember to make your dish to serve about 25 people or so.... we have a lot to choose from but we could use some more drinks and snacks for the banquet. There were some late replys who if they could bring additional drinks or snacks it would be great! I have attached the tentative menu in a pdf format to review, we will be ready to eat around 3PM. Their will be refrigeration and warming ovens for those who need to use the appliances. The VFW on Peck road will have some picnic tables outside if it is nice out.... so bring some games or other outdoor fun with you.

Hi all,

There was a big response to the banquet request for dishes and support at the April Fool's meet, we have about 116 people signed up for the Banquet on April 22, 2007 at the VFW on Peck Road in Parma. I have made a pdf of the list of items and who is attending.

HAST will have a Spring Swim Session. It will start Monday, April 16 and run through Friday, June 15th. Practice will be 5:30 - 7:30 (in the pool) followed by 1/2 hour of dry land training every Monday through Friday with the exception of Memorial Day ( May 28th). The cost is $100 per swimmer. This is 44 practices - so it really is a good deal!

HAST will also have a Summer Swim Session. It will start Monday, June 18th and run through Friday, August 17th. The schedule will be the same as the Spring schedule. Pool will be closed on July 4th. Again, this is 44 practices and the price will be $100 per swimmer.

Enjoy the Spring break! There is no swimming Thurs. 4/ 5/07 - Fri. 4/13/07. Hope to see lots of swimmers Monday 4/16.

Janet has written bills for all swimmers who still owe money for the regular season and/or past meets. Please check your folder for a bill or email her if you have any questions. The HAST meet is not included in the bill. If you haven't paid yet, the cost is $3 deck fee per swimmer, $3 an event and $2.50 per relay participant. Please submit all payments ASAP.

Information regarding Spring/Summer swim sessions will be posted later this week.
