Bronze Re-post
I left out a silver time made on day 1 by David Nolin in the 50 free.
Bronze Day 2
Another great day for the HAST swimmers! More best times were made by almost every swimmer again, some just missing 'silver' cut times.
Emily Ennis hit her third silver time of the weekend today in the 100 free. WAY TO GO EMILY!!!
I will post all of the meet results outside of the pool later this week. The new IMX meets are
awarded differently now. The kids still score points for the team by place, but are only awarded ribbons for best times. No 1st-12th ribbons are awarded. If the swimmer competes in all of the IMX events, they qualify for a (gold, silver , or bronze) bag tag, based on their percentage of dropped time. Our clubs improvement standings (dropped time) from the Bronze meet, will be posted on the Niagara site in a day or two.
After gold championships in March, the Niagara District will calculate all of the IMX swims from all of the IMX District Meets. The team with the highest most improvement points will be awarded a custom 'IMX Team Champion' banner from the Niagara District. This banner will travel yearly with the team champion with their 'champion achievement' added to the banner.
The next IMX District meet is the silver meet in Webster on Dec. 1st-3rd. Coach Snow and I will be inviting all 'silver cut' time swimmers this week. This meet is run in Championship format with pre-lims in the morning and finals in the evening. The meet will be run 10 lanes for both prelims and finals. Your silver swimmer can choose one bonus event for every silver event they have. This is a great way to make a cut in an event they are close in.

Bronze Districts 'Day 1'
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share with the team a few quick highlights from the first day of Bronze Districts. All of the swimmers did awesome.
Best times were done in almost every event event, the kids were really moving!! The biggest drops were made by Miranda DiMaria -18.30 sec. in the 100 bk, and Emily Ennis -14.62 in the 100 bk and -11.88 in the 100 IM.
Making their silver times today were, Rachel Schmidt 50 free, Julia Lajuett 100 fly and Emily Ennis with two in the 100bk and 100fly.
All of the swimmers hard work at practice is really showing. Great job everyone!! Tomorrow is day 2 of Bronze and I am sure will prove to be as exciting as today.

Officials Clinics Sunday November 12 (Brockport) and Wednesday Dec 13th (Webster)
Please feel free to Call Joe Sharn at 594-3256 if you have questions about becoming an official.
The following is the schedule for swim officials clinics for this fall
for all levels (stroke & turn, starter, referee; new and recertifying).
and one of the critical elements for running a swim meet.
Thank you. - Joe Sharn
The following is the schedule for swim officials clinics for this fall
for all levels (stroke & turn, starter, referee; new and recertifying).
- Webster Aquatic Center (Webster Schroeder HS) on Wednesday Evening, September 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Directions / signs will be posted.
- During the Bronze JOs at Brockport High School on Sunday morning, November 12 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Directions / signs will be posted.
- Webster Aquatic Center (Webster Schroeder HS) on Wednesday Evening, December 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Directions / signs will be posted.
Existing Officials: Please check your certification expiration date and make sure you are ready for the upcoming season. You must recertify every 2 years. Please encourage people from your swim club to become a new official - we need new officials every year!! Every existing official should encourage at least one additional person to become a new official.
New Officials: To become a swim official, you need no swimming experience, but is a great way to learn more about the sport. The swimming knowledge you gain can be passed to your kids therefore improving their swimming also. The time commitment for officiating is no more than being a spectator in the stands except you have a better view of the swim meet. You only need to help officiate at least 4 meets per year – you will probably attend more meets than that. Officials are needed to ensure that the swim meet is conducted fairly for all swimmersand one of the critical elements for running a swim meet.
Every year, new officials are needed in order for the club to conduct swim meets (dual meet & invitational). The kids of the existing officials are getting older therefore it getting more difficult to conduct dual meets, so your help & consideration is needed.
The following is needed to become a swim official:- Review technical rules (4 pages) - Link to Technical Rules
- Attend officials clinic
- Take on-line official’s test based upon those 4 pages (open book) - Link to On-Line Test
- Obtain USA insurance card from team administrator / registrar
- Work at 4 swim meets as a “shadow” to an existing official for “on the job”
training
Thank you. - Joe Sharn

Bronze Meet
Hi everyone,
Friday Nov. 3rd is the last day to get your entries into Denise for the Bronze meet. I would like everyone that is eligible (bronze times) to attend.
Even though the meet is being run in the 'IMX' format, your swimmer does not have to compete in every IMX event for their age group. If your 9 or 10 year old doesn't feel ready for the 100 fly yet, you do not need to choose that event. (However they will be ready by the end of the season). The meet is also two days long, but that doesn't mean you need to swim both days. We save that for Gold Championships ( 4 days long).
This meet is a great opportunity for your swimmer! The best thing about going to a bronze meet is making a silver cut time.
Hope to see you there,
Coach John
